psySavvyLogo

The psyCommons series
(ONE, TWO, THREE)

psySavvy generic

At some point in our lives, all of us are likely to find ourselves facing human condition difficulties, challenge, loss, critical choices, disappointment, success, poverty, illness, fame, stress, discrimination, wealth, ageing, abuse, burnout.

How well we cope with any of this seems dependent on our beginnings, the mix of vulnerability and resilience that we have learned or absorbed – how psySavyy we are.

What is psySavvy?

Being streetsavvy is something we take for granted and teach our children – the hundreds of thousands of people who can run a marathon are the tip of an iceberg of  widespread physical fitness – people who are fitnesssavvy. psySavvy seeks to add to this – in our relations with others and ourselves becoming psySavvy.

To become more psySavvy:

  • Recognise and value our everyday rapport, our chat with others and our learning from experience - more
  • Become more aware of the hidden obstacles and opportunities in our history as persons that shape our myriad stories and relationships and what has been learned about them - more
  • Recover essential learning about the human condition that the psychological professions have captured and enclosed and make it more widely available - more
  • Find or create enhancements of the psyCommons that meet our current needs for community support – for survival, recovery or flourishing - more

Build resilience - become more psySavvy - some resources (random order)
